NARRATIVE SHORT: A coming of age story of a teenage girl bound from birth to a higher calling, but as the traditional ceremony looms she struggles to choose between her destiny and the freedom she yearns.
NARRATIVE FEATURE: Friday Afternoon was inspired by Agnes Varda's Cleo de 5 a 7, updating the theme to abortion in 2018. Our character Gus is forced to confront the passivity with which she has lived her life, and as the result of her decision to end the pregnancy, she finds herself reborn through the deaths of her relationships.
